BETTER OUTCOMES FOR CHILDREN OF PARENTS WITH MENTAL ILLNESS
What we do
We focus on helping children and young people who have a parent or carer with a mental illness. Our work gives young people, and the adults around them, the tools they need to find support, build resilience and gain confidence, so that they can overcome the challenges they face.
We've been working with families, children and young people who have a parent with a mental illness since 2012. In that time, we've gained insight into their challenges by listening, valuing and sharing their lived experience. We understand their challenges as well as what helps them to build resilience.
Our evidence-based interventions align with national mental health strategies to offer integrated solutions and early intervention to reduce the prevalence of mental health problems in the next generation. Our expertise is available to be used in many different settings so that the adults around the child, parents, teachers, social workers and health visitors have the skills and confidence to support these young people in whatever setting they are found.
