Growing up with a parent who has mental health problems can be confusing, overwhelming and isolating, especially when no one talks about it.
They might worry more, miss out on childhood or take on adult responsibilities, often without anyone noticing.
Yet there’s still no dedicated national support for these children, even though around 4 million under-18s in the UK have a parent who struggles with their mental health. That’s more than the combined populations of Birmingham, Manchester, Bristol, Liverpool, Sheffield and Leeds.
With the right support and understanding, these children can grow up feeling confident, happy and strong — just like any other child.
For over 20 years, Our Time Charity has been making sure these children aren’t overlooked. We work across a child’s whole support network, offering training for professionals, resources for schools, and safe, welcoming spaces for families. Because when the adults around a child understand what they’re going through, that child’s whole world feels more secure.
About The event
London Landmarks Half Marathon 2027
The London Landmarks Half Marathon is a closed road, central London run and is the only half marathon to go through both the City of London and City of Westminster.
Over the past decade, more than 100,000 runners have taken on the unique London Landmarks Half Marathon route through the heart of our capital, passing some of London’s most iconic sights along the way.
The 10th edition of the event will be a celebration of everything that has made LLHM so special so far; the incredible funds raised for charity, an inspiring community and the shared experience of running through our capital together. As we look back on ten brilliant years, we’re also looking ahead to the next chapter and everything still to come.
LLHM 2027 will take place on Sunday, April 4th 2027.
