Our KidsTime Workshop in Haringey has been named one of just three Finalists in the Group Category of BBC Radio 4’s All in the Mind Awards 2025.
Earlier this month, presenter Claudia Hammond visited the Haringey workshop to see it in action and learn more about how the format supports both children and adults affected by parental mental illness.
KidsTime Workshops are unique, bringing families together, providing community, and helping children to learn and play through discussion, drama and shared activities.
We’re incredibly proud of participant Chuks Agu and his ex-wife Shereen, who have shown enormous courage in speaking openly about the impact of Chuks’ mental illness on their family. Their bravery in sharing their story is not only inspiring, but also a powerful reminder of why our work matters so much. We hope their voices will encourage other families and help to advocate for wider awareness and much-needed funding.
A huge thank you goes to the Haringey team, especially Jim Shepley and Tina McLean, for making the visit happen and showcasing the workshop. And to Nadya Bettioui, for putting together the nomination with great care and for supporting Chuks and Shereen throughout the process.
